Alessandro Berni Gallery is pleased to present Memories From A Family Car Factory, a solo exhibition by artist Denny Theocharakis, on view from November 6 through November 23, 2025 at the gallery’s Chelsea location at 511 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 6 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, with the artist in attendance.

In Memories From A Family Car Factory, Theocharakis weaves together private memory and scenes gathered on her travels. Echoes of a family car factory—its tools, rhythms, and surfaces—intersect with everyday moments she has photographed around the world. The works layer these fragments into living maps: paths split and rejoin, structures meet gesture, and familiar forms dissolve into atmospheric fields. Viewers are invited to choose their own route through each piece, discovering how different beginnings can lead to different destinations—much like the roads that connect far-flung cultures which, at their core, share striking similarities.

Restlessly experimental, Theocharakis refuses to be tied to a single school or style. She explores materials, textures, and techniques to speak about time, place, and identity. The result is a series that feels both engineered and intuitive—where industrial memory meets the spontaneity of travel, and the mechanics of making become a language for remembering.
