KO-HEY! ARIKAWA

He was born in JAPAN in 1978.
He has been constant in his devotion to playing baseball since his childhood, however, after he came of age, he has lost his hope and felt very pessimistic about his future. At the age of 24, he became conscious of his color sensation and his interest in drawing pictures and suddenly decided to venture into the uncharted art world. Besides working as a staff of the town office, he started to paint and to sell his artwork on the street. Within a year, he set up as an artist on his own. At present, his studio is located at the foot of Mt.Fuji, Yamanakako Village.

His exhibitions are called "HAPPY FANTASIA" Not only displaying his artwork on the gallery walls but he also gives high priority in directing the whole gallery space with his unique sense of art. You'll feel as though as if you have wandered into a fantasyland He grew to be one of the representative artists in Japan. His annual exhibitions in Okinawa draw more than 10,000 visitors every year. Reproduction of his pictures are sold at the galleries and museum shops all over Japan. Newly produced works always sell out as soon as they go on sale. His exhibitions are scheduled to take place every year domestically and overseas, and his fan events are frequently held all over Japan. He has created and designed many artworks through collaboration with various companies. He always relates that he would like to offer his services as a mediator between art and people so that they could feel art familiar as they enjoy music in their daily lives.
